Actisense analog engine management unit - NMEA2000 Marine Navigation & Instruments

The Actisense EMU-1 Engine Monitoring Unit is a specialized analogue of the NMEA2000 gateway that converts data from analog engine transmitters to standard NMEA2000 PGN, allowing NMEA2000 display devices to monitor the engine(s) of a vessel. The EMU-1 has a PC-based configuration tool that allows parameters to be changed inside the EMU-1 to best fit the engine it works with, making it a flexible solution for many engine makes and models. Capable of measuring a wide range of motor parameters, the EMU-1 indicates motor operation and shares the information over the network.

Designed to simplify the conversion of analog motor parameters (e.g. temperature, pressure and RPM) in NMEA2000 engine PGNs, the EMU-1 simplifies processes and reduces the number of input/output wires required on each engine. The EMU-1 also takes en supports the conversion of analog transmission parameters and battery status to associated NMEA2000 PGNs.

Additionally, the EMU-1 also supports converting analog transmission parameters and battery status to associated NMEA 2000 PGNs.

The two-piece screw terminal connection system allows an easy plug-in connection to a motor wiring harness.

Multiple motors are supported by tuning the motor instance using the EMU-1 configuration tool. Currently, one EMU-1 per engine is supported. Support for multiple motors on a single EMU-1 is currently planned as part of a future firmware update.

The custom enclosure ensures the electronics are waterproof while still allowing for quick access to electrical connections.

It is recommended that an Actisense NGT-1 NMEA 2000 s PC interfaceis available for each EMU-1 installation. The NGT-1 can be used to update firmware, connect the configuration tool and display data on a PC for diagnostic and informational purposes, using the NMEA reader. Please visit the NGT-1 page for more product details.
