The ceramic elements of the transducer are tilted permanently inside the case to compensate for deadrise of the hull. This ensures that the beam is aimed directly downward, resulting in maximum echo returns and eliminating the need for a shroud.

Flush/angled transducers are mounted through a hole drilled in don't imcarries any hull made of fiberglass, metal or wood, with the outside of the fitting flush with the exterior surface of the hull. Inside the fitting, the active transducer elements are permanently tilted at an angle to compensate for hull tilt, ensuring that the sonar beam is aimed straight down.

High frequency = more detail (ex. 130-210 kHz) - More sensitive to small targets and will send detailed information that will be displayed as sharp, high-resolution images on the sonar screen. Ideal for shallow water and popular with anglers fishing depths less than 1,500 feet.
