Airmar DST800 Bronze Transducer - Depth Speed Temperature - NMEA 2000 Interface Marine Navigation & Instruments
The DST800 is a Smart Triducer multi-sensor that offers depth, speed and temperature functions in a single compact through-hull fitting. The retractable, discreet sensor calculates precise depth, speed and temperature data and sends it to any display or NMEA 2000 network.
The intelligent sensors of Airmar incorporates microelectronics - the transducer element and the signal processor are only a few millimeters apart. Sensor signals are processed directly inside the housing itself. All that is needed to receive depth, speed and temperature data is a simple cable to a compatible network or display.
The wide, fan-shaped, port-starboard beam is capable of finding the bottom even when installed on a dead top hull or heeling sailboat.
NOTE: The DST800L is a longer version in a boxtier B122.

NMEA 2000 versions produce standard NMEA 2000 data formats and have a connected NMEA 2000 breakout cable, ready to plug into a T-connector on a network backbone. These transducers are powered by the network.
Smart depth transducers use the 235 kHz frequency so as not to interfere with the sonar transducers.
Note that there are no NMEA sonar transducers. Fishfinder transducers produce a large volume of analog data that cannot be converted to NMEA format.
