As Chirp continues to redefine recreational fishing, AIRMAR has expanded its line of single-band transducers to satisfy the growing demand for this revolutionary technology. The M285HW is an economical 1 kW Chirp transducer designed for offshore fishing and freshwater anglers. Operating over a high frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz and a wide fixed 25 degree beam, these transducers reveal ultra-clear target resolution in shallow water and trubles at shallow to medium depths (up to 700 feet*).

The transducer includes a plastic housing that is secured inside the boat hull and is filled with environmentally friendly antifreeze. The transducer is inserted into the housing and adjusted for the appropriate dead rise offset, ensuring that the beam shoots straight down. Liquid is the best means of transmission through the fiberglass and into the surrounding water. The advantages of the in-hull transducer are that there are no protruding features outside the hull, making it the ideal choice for towed or lifted boats. Designed for small boats up to 25' with solid core fiberglass hulls.
