SS60 is the steel version stainless steel of Airmar's popular B60 Tilted Element™ transducer. This product provides a vertical beam without a fairing. Inside the housing, the ceramic element is angled for integrated dead center compensation. The resulting vertical beam returns sharp echoes for more accurate depth readingsecises. For hulls with minimal tilt angle, it is also available without tilt. The near-flush housing minimizes drag with only 5mm (3/16") of extension outside the hull. The SS60 is currently used by the US Coast Guard.
