To help maintain freshness, store in a cool, dry place away from the stove and other heating appliances. Since the oil is preserved using natural blended tocopherols, there is no need to refrigerate the bottle. If your location/home temperature is above 85°F and you cannot store it at a cooler temperature, it is wise to use refrigeration. For maintenance purposes, give your pet 1/2 teaspoon per 10 lbs of body weight. Add oil to food or feed directly as a treat. For best results, use it long term. Studies have shown that fatty acid levels reach a steady state about a month after starting supplementation. If the bottle has a pump, one pump is about 1/2 teaspoon.
