Pressure relief relief valves are designed to release pressure in excess of 1 psi. High-flow vacuum valves allow fresh air to enter the fuel tank to replace fuel consumed by the engine. Other components of a pressure relief system are designed to ensure that the tank fills to the proper level every time, without backflow or well backflow.
