New EPA portable fuel tanks must remain sealed to a minimum of 5 psi. The Attwood fuel demand valve prevents pressurized fuel from flooding the engine. The valve supplies fuel to the engine only when the engine demands it during engine starting or operation. The valve ensures that fuel is supplied to the engine only when requested during engine starting or operation.
