DO 550 Rope Clutch - Double

The Barton D0 550 clutch is designed for cruising and racing yachts. Made from modern lightweight materials to withstand the rigors of the marine environment. The molded parts are made of high quality plastics that are strong, lightweight and impact resistant. Cams and bases are made from marine grade "Spectro" anodized aluminum for high wear resistance and long life. Stainless steel cable guides are installed at the entry and exit points of the line, this feature prevents wear on the clutch and lines.

The real clutch mechanism allows Adjust the line through the unit to the closed and locked position. with minimal slippage. Release under load is positive and requires little effort. The opening and closing action of the mechanisms is precise and easy to use, even with thes cold, wet hands.

A unique feature of this design is the removable insert on the upper side of the handle. Remove it and you can easily replace it with colored inserts printed to indicate the unit's function (i.e. mainsail, genoa, spinnaker, etc.) at a glance. p>

The D0 550 clutch has the advantage of a bolted construction which allows ease of maintenance and replacement of parts.
