The Beckson Self Drain™ opening port is innovatively designed with a molded angled drain ramp. inside the faucet. The design promotes drainage without having to make angled cuts in the shell. This also allows for through bolting, which is not possible in windows where an angled faucet extends below the bolt holes. This allows the inner corner to sit firmly against the seal and lens omitting the outer water retention rim found in most other ports. (No water falling out when you open the port after a rain.) Self Drain™ opening ports are ideal for mounting where the installation is less than 15x from vertical (with faucet length up to one inch). For larger angles, use Beckson Rain Drain™ ports. The opening port The Beckson Self Drain™ opening is innovatively designed with an angled drainage ramp molded inside the faucet. This design promotes drainage without having to make angled cuts in the hull. This also allows through-bolting, which is not possible in windows where an angled faucet extends below the bolt holes. The inner angle sits firmly against the gasket and lens, omitting the outer water-retaining lip found in most other ports. (No water falling when you open the port after a rain.) Self Drain™ opening ports are ideal for mounting where the installation is less than 15x of vertical (with a faucet length up to to an inch). Longer faucets are available for vertical installations. For larger anglesrands, use Beckson Rain Drain™ ports.
