General guidelines for choosing trim tab size:

In general, the widest tabs that will fit the transom will be the most effective. Morethe larger the surface area, the greater the lift. We generally recommend a 9" rope tab, but depending on the space available in the transom, a shorter or longer rope tab, or specially shaped tabs with upfins or dropfins may be advisable.

As a general rule for boats with speeds up to 40 MPH, choose at least one inch of trim span (per side) for every foot of boat length. For example, a 22-foot boat. would use a 24"x9".
For speeds of 40 mph and above, we will usually direct you to one of our high-performance Performance or Premier Line systems.
