Test procedures for BEP (UL 1107) marine battery switches continuous (1 hour), intermittent (5 minutes), and cranking (engine starting - 10 seconds). The test involves determining the maximum current the switch can handle duringfor the specified time, without the rear terminals exceeding 100 degrees C (212 degrees F) above ambient temperature. Continuous and intermittent ratings are tested to 110% of specified ratings. All BEP switches are tested independently of this specification by a third party laboratory.
