High quality, but way too bright for running at night

I like Blue Sea electrucs and trust their stuff. That said, the blue light that comes out of it is incredibly blinding at night. I ended up installing a Leisure Lectronics dimmer switch in the dash to reduce the intensity at night. It would have been better if the default color was red and the "on" color was blue, but you can't wire them de this way. I love switches, and they really were the logical choice for my dashboard, but they dominate your gauges and your eyes without dimming, which can be achieved with a PWM dimmer or appropriately sized resistor.
