Blue Sea 6006 m-Series (Mini) Single Circuit Battery Switch ON/OFF Red User Reviews capt_matt on 2020-12-11 The plastic housing failed during initial installation.

First of all, I will say that the quality of the item seems good. I suspect my device had an invisible defect or crack. For a $40 product, I think it will need to be replaced occasionally (hopefully it will last 5+ years). However mine didn't last a minute... I'm doing a complete rewiring. Two months after the start of the project, this insulator was one of the last elementsnts to be connected. The unit (the four position model, 1/2/1+2) was recessed into the console. Output cable, check! #1 Entrance, check! Input #2, the hrm seems loose even though the nut seems firm (hard to SEE from outside the console position). The cable lug definitely gives way slightly on the fixing. Tighten a little tighter, maybe 20 lbs of force, SNAP. I can only assume that the plastic casing was cracked, or had some defect or weakness, for it to fail like it did. I didn't use much force. The downside is that I drilled the console for flush mounting (Blue Sea insulator mounted *inside* the console), one large hole, 4 small holes. Unfortunately I'm just going to order another one as the job needs to be finished. I will have to look in the future for a replacement that can use the existing holes I made. 2 stars for now, if the next one holds up better, I'll tryto return to adjust my review.
