BOATraNET is a truly unique and innovative product that "e-activates" your existing navigation system and creates a dynamic, local intranet for your boat. Imagine having your own automatic website that shows your boat visitors all the most important navigation information and gives them access to the photos, documents and music you want them to share and enjoy.
BOATraNET integrates with the existing navigation of the boat. system (Raymarine, Garmin, Furuno, Navico, etc.) via NMEA 0183 and automatically creates animated instrument and navigation displays (web pages) of your data.
It creates a wireless "hotspot" that works with iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch, Android devices, smartphones, laptops, Windows PCs, LINUX and Mac OS navigator helpWireless device web browser (no special app required), view data even at sea without an Internet connection.
BOATraNET includes a Navionics-based chartplotter (with optional built-in Silver Charts), which shows you where you are on the map, a music player which can play music on your car's stereo boat or stream music to your wireless devices, as well as photo and document viewers that you control from your wireless device's web browser. Connect BOATraNET to one of Digital Yacht's long range Wi-Fi adapters and when you are in the marina you can easily connect to the marina 'hotspot' and share the long range Wi-Fi connection, with everyone connected to BOATraNET.
BOATraNET is fully expandable and more functions, features and accessories are expected to be rolled out over the coming months. Software updateses, data and media files can easily be transferred via USB sticks.
