How it works

When a vehicle is towing a heavy load, the downward weight exerted by the trailer, called the tongue weight, tends to pull the reare of the vehicle downward, in turn causing the front of the vehicle to lift. This can damage the vehicle and be dangerous to drive. The Eaz-Lift Trekker weight distribution hitch distributes the tongue weight more evenly across the tow vehicle's axles, thereby leveling the vehicle and making the trailer safer to tow.

Anti-Towing Control Adaptive sway is specifically designed to make driving easier. For the most normal driving, the hitch keeps your trailer aligned with your vehicle. With some anti-sway hitches, a sway resistance system that is too tight or too stiff will attempt to keep the trailer and vehicle in line. In such a rigid configuration, the trailer could pull the vehicle in line with the trailer instead of the other way around. Essentially, it's the tail that wags the dog. Adaptive swing technology gives slight natural independent movement resisted, resistanceresistance developing only as necessary until it reaches maximum strength. The hitch is factory pre-calibrated for optimal sway control performance and does not rely on the weight of the tongue to apply sway resisting forces.
