Clipper MeteoMan Barometer Outdoor
MeteoMan BarometerThe rate of change of barometric pressure and historical wind speed can be an invaluable indicator of impending conditions.
Many sailors rely on low-cost domestic barometers. , which are inaccurate, have low resolution and a very poor history. There are several quality paper recording instruments available, but they are delicate, difficult to use, and rely on the paper which can jam when wet. The MeteoMan solves all these problems. It provides accurate, high-resolution barographic recording of over five days of barometric pressure and wind speed data. It is easy to use, reliable, robust and consumes very little power from the boat's battery.
The MeteoMan is available with an optional NMEA wind sensor which provides wind direction, speed of the wind and outside temperature. The Meteoman providesreliable weather information for boaters. The main display shows wind speed and direction, ambient temperature and barometric pressure.
To help you forecast future trends, the unit also displays a precision barograph and anemograph indicating pressure barometer and wind speed from the previous five days.
In addition to weather functions, the unit includes a marine chronometer, stopwatch, race countdown, internal temperature display and battery voltage.
MeteoMan can be connected to a NMEA Clipper Wind system where it will obtain wind speed/direction data via the Clipper wind output.
NMEA Wind sensor supplied with mounting brackets and 20 meters of two-conductor shielded cable.
