Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Conxall CX-719 - Conxall In-Line 9-Pin Who is the Conxall?
What are the dimensions and weight of the Conxall CX-719 - 9 pin Inline Conxall package?
Who is the Conxall? Switchcraft, Inc. was established in 1946 to manufacture sockets, plugs and switches, primarily for the communications industry. The original factory was located on West Diversey Street in Chicago. The company moved to a larger facility at 1328 North Halsted Street in 1948 and in 1958 operations moved to a 185,000 square foot facility located at 5555 North Elston Avenue, which is still the headquarters and largest largest of the company's three manufacturing sites today. .In 1977, Switchcraft was purchased by Raytheon Corporation and operated as an independent subsidiary in its dicommercial vision for twenty years. During this time, Switchcraft expanded its production capacity to include vertical integration, for cost-effective manufacturing in the United States. They also expanded into harsh environment connector products, which increased the company's market growth. In 1997, Raytheon made the strategic decision to focus solely on the defense industry. As a result, they divested themselves of their interests in all their business holdings. At that time, Switchcraft was sold to company management and a private equity firm. In 1999, Switchcraft acquired Conxall, a manufacturer of circular connectors and cable assemblies, to expand its offering of harsh environment connectivity products. They are located in a 32,000 square foot facility in Villa Park, Illinois. This strategic acquisition contributed to position Switchcraft for increased growth in the industrial market. In 2011, Switchcraft was acquired by HEICO Corporation and became part of its electronic technology group. Switchcraft is a leading provider of harsh environment connectivity products to the industrial market and the leading provider of connectivity to the professional audio and broadcast industries.
