These Voltage Sensitive Switches (VSS) automatically detect the voltages of the connected battery bank and ensure optimal and efficient charging of the second bank. VSS allows independent battery banks to be combined or isolated based on the presence of a charging source (such as an engine alternator or battery charger), while also providing an emergency parallel connection activated remotely, at high current. Designed and built for longevity in the marine environment with tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts and high temperature fiber reinforced plastics. Units are ignition protected, provide on/off switching operation and can be recessed or surface mounted. The remote emergency parallel function can be operated via a momentary button on the dashboard which will parallel the batteries for 10 minutes. Once these 10 minuteselapsed, if the voltage is high enough, the voltage sensitive switch will remain engaged. Otherwise, it will disengage.PRODUCT ID: 3001258
