Digital Yacht 5G Xtream system with 3 antennas and 7M cable Communication
5G Xtream system with 3 antennas and 7M cable
For boat owners looking for ultra-fast Internet connection on board, the new 5G Xtream from Digital Yacht offers 4G and 5G connectivity. as well as integration with Starlink satellite systems for the best and most affordable mixed-stream Internet.
5G Xtream can support 5G connection speeds (on land) of up to 3.1 GB/s, but also integrates a 4G Cat 20 modem. , which offers connectivity up to approximately 25 NM from the shore at speeds of up to 2 GB/s. The system uses three external antennas with two high-gain vertical antennas and a separate compact dome for higher 5G frequencies. This MIMO technology and, above all, the separate antennas provide optimal performance. Dual SIM cards are supported with automatic (failover) or manual switching between carriers.
5G Xtream is supportedte of dual-band wireless connections (2.4 and 5 GHz), so on-board users simply search for the secure Wi-Fi spot and connect. There are also 4 LAN ports (10/100/1000MB) for wired devices such as smart TVs and a WAN port optimized for Starlink satellite connectivity, allowing the 5GX to act as a sophisticated and fast router for all onboard Internet communications.
The Wi-Fi Fi router can also be configured to access marina Wi-Fi hotspots as an additional method of accessing the Internet. It also supports the latest 5GHz marina Wi-Fi services, and an external high-gain Wi-Fi antenna is also available as an accessory.
For advanced users, the 5G Xtream allows user management, VPNs, blacklists and IoT applications. NMEA 0183/2000 data can also be connected using L devicesANLink from Digital Yacht. The integrated GPS allows the boat's position to be reported via SMS or even a geofence/drift setting when the boat is at anchor or in port.
The Digital Yacht 5G Xtream is supplied as a complete solution with antennas, mounts, and cabling – all that's also required is a cellular SIM card.
Setup
Setup is very simple. Simply insert the SIM cards. The 5G Xtream has two standard SIM slots and it is possible to install two SIM cards from two different network operators. By default, the 5G Xtream will query the installed SIM card and automatically select APN settings from its internal database.
However, it is very important that users "lock" their wireless network with their name (SSID) and wireless password. This task only takes a few minutes and is performed via the 5G Xt web interfaceream.
User interface
Access to 5G Xtream functionality is via a simple internet interface. Any locally connected device can simply enter the IP address into the password-protected interface to configure functions, view traffic and logs, and configure Wi-Fi.
Once configured, there should be no need to connect to other devices. only for diagnosis and configuration. Users simply access the Internet via the wifi connection, just as they would at home or away.
