Chesapeake White SS 2" Fuel Level Gauge (E-1/2-F)

White edge-lit dial with stylish blue and white graphics, gold-tone bezel polished stainless steel, contoured white pointer and domed glass lens.

The fuel level gauge operates by sending a low amperage current through the gauges to ground via a sending unit to variable resistance. The resistance of the sending units increases or decreases with changes in pressure, temperature, etc...

As the resistance of the sender varies, the amount of current allowed. pass through it until the ground changes and the meter deviates, indicating the fuel level.
