A N.O.A.A. system. EMTU-C (Enhanced Mobile Transceiver Unit-Cellular) approved which meets the requirements of the N.O.A.A. Fisheries Service VMS Program for Gulf of Mexico For-hire Fisheries.

Who would be required to submit fishing records electronically-

Vessel owners or operators who have a federal Gulf charter vessel/headship license for reef fish or a Gulf charter vessel/headship license for Inshore migratory pelagics (hire vessel) will be required to submit electronic reporting at trip level before offloading fish.
Reporting will be required regardless of where fishing takes place, including included in other areas and waters of the State.
For-hire vessels that have both a charter licensen for the South Atlantic and a Gulf for-hire license will only be required to report to the Gulf system to reduce duplicate reporting.
