Black edge-lit dial with bold white graphics, black aluminum bezel, contoured white pointer and flat glass lens.
The fuel level gauge operates by sending a low amperage current through the gauges to ground via a variable resistance sending unit. Resistance of sending units increases or decreases with changes in pressure, temperature, etc...
As the resistance of the sender varies, so does the amount of current allowed to pass through it. to ground changes and the meter deviates, indicating the fuel level.
