SR-2 Boom Roller

The Forespar SR-2 Boom Roller with matching shrouds from 3/16" to 3/16" wire diameter 8".

Use a pair of properly sized insert sleeves according to the table below:

3/8" thread – n 'use no insert
5/16" thread – use #1 inserts
9/32" thread – use #2 inserts
Thread ¼" - use #3 inserts
7/32" thread - use #4 inserts
3/16" thread - use #5 inserts

Boom rollers can be placed just above or below the spreader tips; however, installation will be easier if located under the spreaders. In this case, you can pre-assemble the parts on deck and reduce the risk of parts loss by hanging in a boatswain's chair. Have a 3 inch piece of masking tape handy (glue it to the fairing).

Select thesuitable inserts, place them in the two halves of a hub and place them around the fairing. Use the tape to hold these pieces together loosely. Note that the hubs have two clearance screw holes on one end. Match these holes with the small holes on the other end of the other half. It is important that the contact faces of the inserts are parallel to the faces of the hub halves. Install the four screws provided, tightening them only as far as you can still slide the hub assembly up the fairing. Now remove the tape.

Next, install the rollers. Note that one half of each roller has clearance holes for the two screws. Match these halves that do not have clearance holes. Tighten these screws securely. Now slide the Jib Roller to the desired position on the seatstay and finish tightening the four hub screws until the hub interfacesare completely closed.
