AIS interface boxThe IF1500AIS is an interface box that allows the connection of any AIS transponder or receiver to the FR8XX2 series radar. Note that when connecting an FA150 to any FR8XX2 series display, the IF1500AIS is NOT required! Once the AIS data at 38.4 KBPS is connected and the heading and position information is available on the screen, the FR8XX2 will display the AIS information.
With the IF1500AIS, the cables in following options are required to obtain heading, position and the IF1500AIS interfaced to the FR8XX2 series display:
- 2 of each 000-154-028 - 7 pin cables - One for position input to the FR8XX2 radar screen and another to connect the IF1500 AIS to the FR8XX2 radar screen.
- 1 of each 000-154-054 - 6 pin cable for connect heading data to FR8XX2 radar display.
