CHIRP Bronze Pocket Mount Transducer with Temperature, with 12 Pin Connector, Low Frequency: 42- 65 kHz, High frequency: 130-210 kHz.

The PM265LH is a bronze CHIRP transducer with temperature for use with Furuno CHIRP wideband fish finders. Its flat face design is ideal for pocket/keel installations.

Traditional marine sounders operate at discrete frequencies such as 50 kHz and 200 kHz, use relatively short duration transmission pulses, and use narrow-band sonar transducers. In contrast, CHIRP (Compressed High-Intensity Radar Pulse) uses a precise sweep pattern of many frequencies within a long-duration transmission pulse from a wideband transducer. The equivalent sound energy transmitted in water is 10 to 1,000 timessuperior to that of a classic marine depth sounder. The echo energy returned to the transducer is also greater than that generated by a conventional transducer. The combination of CHIRP, a wideband transducer and Furuno's superior digital signal processing allows for significantly increased fish and bottom detection.
