The SC130 are the latest satellite compasses built on FURUNO's commercial grade technology platform. These satellite compasses prove their value by increasing the accuracy of other devices, such as radar, ARPA, scanning sonar, current indicator, chartplotter, ECDIS and autopilots. They provide very precise heading input to these other technologies using the latest GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). This satellite system is composed of GPS, Galileo and GLONASS to ensure the highest accuracy and continuous coverage.

The satellite compass provides a variety of data including GPS positioning, SOG (ground speed) , COG (Course Over Ground), ROT (Rate Of Turn) and speed on 3 axes (front, rear and longitudinal). All this data facilitates critical maneuvers, such as docking. The Compasss requires no maintenance - a major asset for any vessel - and easily connects to the existing onboard network.k via an Ethernet connection.

The SC130 provides highly accurate heading data of 0.25° for autopilot, radar, ARPA, scanning sonar, current indicator, chartplotter, ECDIS and autopilots. It is ideal for medium to large vessels sailing in crowded ports and performing precise maneuvers, such as berthing and mooring, and is IMO approved as THD, GPS and ROTI, compliant with IEC requirements /ISO. It features a fast tracking rate of 40°/s, twice the IMO requirement of 20°/s for high-speed boats.
