With BirdsEye satellite imagery, you can load highly detailed aerial and satellite images onto your Garmin handheld device. Georeferenced images result in actual photos of buildings, roads, trails and other terrain features. This helps you get an accurate representation of your surroundings as you explore. Plus, with a resolution of 0.5 meters per pixel in many areas and zoom levels ranging from 12 miles to 20 feet, you'll have the most detailed maps available. DigitalGlobe is continually expanding the coverage areas and image quality, which are aautomatically available to the user during the subscription period. You can also overlay vector maps, such as TOPO US 100K or TOPO US 24K, on your handheld for a better understanding of land contours and other topographical features.

Before you can use the subscription BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, you must have the free BaseCamp software from Garmin installed on your computer. To download BaseCamp, visit: www.garmin.com/basecamp. You will also need a myGarmin account to register your device in order to activate the subscription. You can create an account during the purchasing process.
