GPS19x HVSGPS 19x HVS
The high-precision GPS 19x HVS position receiver/antenna provides update rates up to 10 Hz for position, speed and time data. It provides high sensitivity reception and enhanced position acquisition to the Garmin family of marine instruments, autopilots and multifunction displays.
Provides precise location data
This 32-channel receiver is capable of tracking multiple global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo1 and QZSS1. Since more satellites are visible, it can provide more accurate bearings in difficult conditions. With its improved position, heading and speed accuracy, delivered up to 10 times more often than other receivers/antennas, it enables smoother drawing of your position on the plotter/MFD at higher speeds.
WAAS compatible, it can determine your precise location within 3 m (9.84 ft).
Observable advantages
Compared to units with sloIn terms in update rate, GPS 19x offers a dramatic improvement when used at low speeds. Position and heading information from slower units can shake and wobble significantly at speeds below 1 mph. The GPS 19x provides a consistent and smooth heading, which is especially important when trying to reach a specific waypoint or mark.
The GPS 19x also reflects the boat's actual heading smoothly and accurately. This is particularly evident when exiting corners. Additionally, 19x GPS eliminates position jumps that can occur at low speeds and when turning the boat in an arc. The GPS 19x maintains a smooth position throughout the turn2.
Designed for versatility
Part of the Garmin family of marine instruments, the GPS 19x HVS is built to withstand the elements. This waterproof sensor (IPX7) can be mounted on a pole or recessed. It can also be attached under many fiberglass decks for easier installation. Additionally, it can also be configured to have 1Hz or 5Hz update rate to meet specific installation requirements.
1Supported when available. A software update may be required.
2GPSMAP 6000, 7000 and newer series chartplotters have been optimized to fully utilize the 10 Hz information from the GPS 19x.
