Automatic identification (AIS) is a naval traffic monitoring system, useful for navigation safety in difficult weather conditions (fog or night navigation). The AIS system operates on 2 expressly dedicated VHF channels (161.975 and 162.025 MHz) and allows the user to receive real-time information on traffic in the surrounding area.

ELBA AIS is a high gain AIS antenna of 3dB designed for Sailboats: it measures 38" in length and is very easy to install thanks to the "L" bracket provided. With its solid black fiberglass whip and its integrated 66' RG58C/U coaxial cable, it is the best choice to have stable AIS performance in all navigation conditions.
