The CURT Spectrum trailer brake controller provides users with powerful, precise braking operation in an extremely simple and subtle design to inside the vehicle. It has a rotary knob interface equipped with LEDs and a separate main module with an advanced accelerometer. This helps maintain an original look and feel inside a vehicle's cabin. The Spectrum Brake Controller's separate design allows the main module to be mounted behind the vehicle's dashboard, completely out of sight. Meanwhile, the compact and discreet interface can be fully integrated into the dashboard with just one hole.

The Spectrum trailer brake controller interface is simple but powerful. It is a single rotary knob with a push button in the center that allows the driver to adjust the braking power. It is equipped with ten tri-color LEDs (red, blue and green) to indicate the automated power output of the control. There is no need for a separate airy display or additional controls, keeping the vehicle dashboard clean, professional and uncluttered.

Behind the Spectrum brake controller lies a powerful main module with a three-axis motion-sensing accelerometer. This advanced circuit can detect vehicle and trailer inertia on all axes of three-dimensional space. No matter what speed or grade users are traveling on (uphill or downhill), the Spectrum brake controller produces the exact amount of power needed for a smooth, safe stop every time. The main module can be mounted with the included mounting brackets or adhesive patch.

The Spectrum electric brake controller is a fully compatible unit, capable of doingoperate up to eight trailer brakes at once. It can be used on vehicles equipped with ABS brakes and cruise control, and works with both low voltage and PWM systems.

Like most CURT trailer brake controllers, the Spectrum s Installed using a quick-set harness. These wiring harnesses are vehicle specific and plug into any CURT brake controller for a custom installation in the vehicle. The Spectrum also has automatic leveling and calibration features to simplify the setup process.
