- 8 Braid Nylon Rope eliminates some of the maintenance issues associated with ropes 3 strands. 8-Plait uses 8 individual braided strands woven together which allow the rope to be relaxed. But when it is subjected to a load, it tightens until it becomes firm. The higher the load, the more difficult the installation becomes.
- 8-Plait has the same tensile strength as 3-Strand.
- 8-Plait will not roll up and create a "bird's nest" in the rack like 3-Strand will. 8-The braid flakes and falls on itself.
