The pigtail adapter (ignition switch activation) is designed to provide a means of turning the inverter on or off (on Magnum MM/MMS type inverter/chargers) when a 12 V DC signal is supplied or withdrawn. This is useful in applications where it may be desirable to allow the 120 volt AC inverter loads to be automatically energized when the vehicle's ignition switch is turned on.
