The RC12 Series incorporates Maxwell's latest stylish innovation in automatic rope/chain technology. Retaining the classic open design style more appropriate on larger boats, the RC12 series represents the next generation of rope/chain windlass evolution in every respect.

Maxwell is once again at the helm market leader in terms of innovation with the introduction of its latest Wave Design Plateau. This patented rope/chain wheel incorporates two unique design concepts that significantly improve the handling and control of the spliced rope/chain wheel. The outer ribs of the top are slightly inclined forward, ensuringensuring that the cable and chain are guided smoothly into the wheel when retrieving the anchor.

Features

The RC12-12 fully automatic windlass series is designed to effortlessly retrieve and deploy a link chain short lengths of 12 to 13 mm (1/2") and a three-strand or 8-braid rope of 20 mm (5/8").
AISI 316 stainless steel.
A sleek low profile version and a fluted capstan drum version in stainless steel (AISI 316) are available.
The RC12 is packed with innovative patented features combined with Maxwell's traditionally classic aesthetic, but reflecting the modern 'form follows function' of the successful RC6, RC8 and RC10 series windlasses.
With a maximum pull of 1,590kg ( 3,500 lbs) and an anchor recovery rate of 15 m/min (50 ft/min), the RC12-12 is one of the fastest, gruntiest windlasses around.its class.
The elegantly designed deck plate and chain tube cover are made of polished marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316), as is the robust pressure arm, the stripper, the deck and the fluted capstan drum.
The huge through deck haThe pipe throat guarantees easy entry of the rope/chain in and out of the anchor box.
The brake/clutch mechanism double cone allows "free fall" anchoring. Cone clutches, unlike dog clutches, provide smooth progressive engagement, ensuring safe and precise operator control.
The RC12 is equipped with the revolutionary new Wave DesignT plate and patented by Maxwell.
Emergency manual retrieval is made simple and easy with the unique operation of Maxwell's "Active Ratchet Lock System" which prevents windlass tailwind during transport manualof the anchor.
Each Maxwell RC12 automatic rope/chain windlass comes with superior working, motor/gearbox and dual direction solenoid. Switches and a circuit breaker are available and must be ordered separately.
Activation of the ratchet mechanism lever ensures that the windlass cannot move backward during emergency recovery (manual) rope (rope and/or chain) and anchor.
Important: Maxwell windlasses must be used in conjunction with a chain stop and/or other dampening device to relieve the windlass when from installation to mooring. The chain stopper and alternative dampening system should also be used to secure the anchor in the fully raised position during travel.
Each Maxwell automatic rope/chain windlass is available with all the necessary components for fully automatic navigationdual direction in a competitively priced package.
