If birds are seasonal breeders or are managed to be seasonal breeders, offer the Mazuri Parrot Breeder Diet at the start of the breeding season. If birds are bred all year round, feed them continually on this diet. Wean young birds onto this diet and continue feeding them until the first molt. After the first molt, switch the birds to the Mazuri parrot maintenance diet. To transition birds from seed (or whatever diet they are currently receiving) to the Mazuri parrot breeding diet, make a gradual change, starting with 90% seed (or current diet) and 10% Mazuri parrots. Breeders' diet. Each subsequent day, reduce the amount of seeds by 10% while increasing the amount of Mazuri Parrot Breeder Diet by 10%.
