Navico Active Imaging 2-in-1 Transducer Marine Navigation & Instruments
2-in-1 Active Imaging Transducer
Active Imaging Transducers
- Active Imaging is a new scanning sonar technology that provides incredibly detailed, high-resolution imaging sonar without sacrificing any range.
- Active Imaging transducers achieve this by better directing SideScan beams, increasing resolution and improves range performance
Active Imaging is available in two models
- The Active Imaging standalone transducer allows the user to combine the new Active Imaging transducer with a separate CHIRP transducer for dual transducer installations. .
- Active imaging operates at 800 kHz or 455 kHz with maximum ranges of 150 feet (800 kHz) or 300 feet (455 kHz)
Active Imaging Technology
- Active Imaging uses the latest techniques inre generating sonar signals
- Active Imaging transducers are constructed from a polymer that responds more closely to sound waves than to water. This ensures that no sonar signal is lost during transmission or reception.
- Active Imaging transducers include separate sonar elements for SideScan transmission and reception. Separating transmission and reception allows Active Imaging to have an incredibly fast ping speed (ping speed is directly correlated to image resolution). Additionally, these separate elements focus the sonar signal more outward, increasing the sonar signal to the sides and leading to better range performance
Key Features:
- Active imaging sonar offers users high-resolution detail without compromise
- 800 kHz operation covers many use casesand ranges.
- With range and resolution capabilities of 800 kHz, users do not. must choose between seeing in detail or seeing far
- The high-resolution IPS displays of NSS evo3 and HDS Live display the complete image, allowing the user to see the entire underwater environment
- Active imaging transducers do not require any additional modules or hardware for use with next generation displays
