The GP1500 Series for 9.5 inch guard, Sail SystemPods allow multiple electronic parts to be mounted in a single NavPod. This is a good way to reduce the height of a system. High Gloss Material
NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish to match. gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

Waterproof seal
All NavPods aremanufactured with a double seal system providing excellent sealing between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to service your electronic devices.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all steel mounting hardware stainless steel supplied with each NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3, we provide tamper-proof steel screwsr nickel-chromed stainless steel for added safety combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process
Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
