The GP1060 series for 9.5" guard, the SailPods are intended for mounting a single radar or chart plotter at the helm where you can easily operate and clearly see the fine details of the display. It is best to mount a single SailPod on a single curvature AngleGuards or use a double curvature AngleGuards to install. an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and a SailPod below on the inclined section.

SailPod for Power is intended for mounting on a Stachion SK135 kit and can be used to mount a SailPod on a flat surface, such as the flybridge. Stachion kits can also be used with a SailPod for overhead mounting applications.

High gloss material

NavPods. are made with custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap We use the best.Its UV-resistant material offers a very high shine. white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent watertight seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Nickel plated chrome screws

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide nickel plated stainless steel and chrome plated tamper proof screws for added security combined with a bit of bling!

The manufacturing process

Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with tooling design and development. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
