GP2050-19 Pre-cut SailPod for Garmin GPSMAP 7410/7410xsv/7610/7610xsv for 12" wide protection

GP2050 series for 12" protection, SailPods are for mounting from a single radar or chart plotter to the helm where you can easily operate and clearly see the smallest details of the screen. It is best to mount a single SailPod on single-curvature AngleGuards or use dual-curvature AngleGuards to mount an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and a SailPod below on the inclined section.

The ultra glossy material

NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded acrylic coated ABS material. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements now include thicker material that improves strength and provides better rigiditystructural tee.

The waterproof seal

All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the Front and rear of the NavPod to protect your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Chrome-plated nickel screws

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round-head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod key for better holding capacitysame when tightening as the previous screws. For Gen3 we provide nickel-chrome plated stainless steel tamper proof screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play.o play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
