NavPod GP2170 series for 12" guard, SystemPods allow you to mount several electronic components in a single NavPod It's a good way to reduce the height of a system. To mount a radar or chartplotter, you can have room for an autopilot, instrument, stereo controller or VHF mic. A SystemPod is best mounted on a single-curvature AngleGuard. The unique curvature for this model is AG218.

High gloss material

NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material with acrylic cap We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 enhancements include deo.rbut a thicker material which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity.

The waterproof seal

All NavigationThe modules are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for the protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "set compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to repair your electronic devices.

Chrome-plated nickel screws

We use all stainless steel mounting hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large tamper-proof head screwsround have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide tamper proof nickel chrome plated stainless steel screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process

Large gauge thermoforming is considered an art since many processes come into play. It all starts with the design and development of the tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances.
