RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting an autopilot control, navigation instrument or a small chart plotter on an existing protective base. . Fits any 1" or 1.25" diameter tube. A chrome-plated stainless steel arm is used to mount a NavPod. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when sitting under the vehicle on a rainy day. All cables run from the NavPod down the center of the stainless steel arm and into the cradle guard. This application provides a clean, sturdy installation for electronics, without replacing the base guard.

Acrylic-capped ABS plastic
Chrome-plated stainless steel tamper-resistant fasteners
Double seal for waterproof integrity
Templates are available pre-cut for popular electronic devices.

The high gloss material
NavPods are made with a custom co-extruded ABS material coated with acrylic. We use the best UV resistant material that provides a high gloss white finish that matches gel coated fiberglass. Gen3 improvements
now include thicker material that improves strength and
1 provides better structural rigidity.

Waterproof seal
All NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing
an excellent seal between the front and back of the NavPod for
protection of your marine electronics. NavPods are designed to withstand the toughest wet offshore sailing conditionss. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal EPDM seal
is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "retentive compression" like many
rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future to serve it.

Nickel-chrome plated screws
We use all hardware from stainless steel mounting supplied with
each NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than previous screws. For Gen3 we provide tamper proof nickel chrome plated stainless steel screws for added security combined with a little bling!

The manufacturing process
Heavy gauge thermoforming is considered an art. since many processes
come into play. All cobeginning with the design and development of tooling. We are fortunate to have experienced in-house design engineers who use CAD programs such as Solidworks, Catia and AutoCad. Surfcam is used to interface with our CNC machining centers to produce quality tools with precision tolerances. We've redesigned and revamped all the popular
NavPods. We looked at all the old products and selected the best
design elements from each and incorporated them into each new Gen3 product
