RailMount NavPods are best used for mounting an autopilot control, of a navigation instrument, or a small chartplotter on an existing protective support. Fits any 1", 1.125" or 1.25" diameter tube. A stainless steel arm is used to mount the NavPod housing. The NavPod can rotate 180 degrees for easy viewing when you are sitting under the vehicle on a rainy day All wiring runs from the NavPod, down the center of the stainless steel arm (the available space is 0.75″ inside the narrowest part of the arm, so keep this in mind when planning your cable route; most transducer cables will not pass through the arm), and in the pedestal protection This application provides a clean and sturdy installation for the. electronic, without having to replace the base guard.

The rail mounts are designed for all common standard-sized instruments, as well as 7 and 9 inch chart plotters.

Structural Rigidity – ENHA Gen3 cements now include thicker gauge acrylic coated ABS material which improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for greater sealing. The higher the structural rigidity, the less flex there is when tightening and the more uniform the pressure on the joint. The excellent UV stability of acrylic is combined with the durability of ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof Seal – All RailMount NavPods are manufactured with a double seal system providing an excellent seal. This seal provides the best protection for your marine electronics. NavPodsare designed to withstand the harshest and wettest offshore sailing conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker silicone outer gasket with an improved flush fit. The internal Poron Microcell polyurethane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the NavPod in the future in order to repair your electronic devices. The seal will continue to do its job.

Chrome Nickel Plated Stainless Steel – We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that comes with every NavPod. Large round head tamper-proof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding power when tightening than the screws used on our traditional series NavPod. Tamper-resistant nickel-chrome-plated stainless steel screws provide security combined with a little style!
