Noland Engineering MD33 - Data Monitoring System Marine Navigation & Instruments
The MD33 is a data monitoring system specifically designed for twin-engine vessels. It converts RPM, analog gauge and alarm/status (on/off) sensors into NMEA 2000 messages for display by MFDs (multi-function displays). It also accepts NMEA 0183 navigation data which it sends, along with engine data, to a PC for display and recording by our C-Port2 software. The MD33 is compatible with most marine engine sensors, whether gauges are present or not. Configuration and calibration are done via a PC-USB interface and the supplied software. All analog motor and alarm connections are made on a terminal block on the rear of the unit, while RPM and NMEA 0183 connections are made on the front terminal block. A standard micro-C connector is provided for NMEA 2000 connection. All data interfaces, USB, CAN and motor, are galvanically isolated from each other.res. RPM is sensed directly from the alternator output, sending units or ignition pulses. The user must define the number of pulses per revolution (ppr) for each motor. AnalOG (gauge) inputs can be taken from existing gauges or resistive emitters which can be powered by the MD33. Analog inputs A1-A4 detect 0-20V while A5 can detect inputs up to 40V for direct battery voltage detection. Alarm/status inputs detect the presence or absence of voltage from switches, relays or transmitters. Configuration and calibration software is included.PRODUCT ID: 3001153
