The Ocean Signal EPIRB3 Pro is a 406 MHz global rescue beacon complete with an auto-release floatless mount and contains a multitude of features in a compact, modern design, including AIS technology.
AIS provides local rescuers with accurate and reliable information about the current position of the beacon, thereby speeding up rescue operations. Additionally, the Return Link Service (RLS) reassures those who activate the beacon by confirming that their distress message has been received. The inclusion of Near Field Communication (NFC) capability allows a smartphone app to be used to monitor the EPIRB's battery and other functions to ensure its proper operation.
The EPIRB3 Pro comes with a Category 1 auto-release floatless mounting bracket. This bracket securely stores the EPIRB3 Pro for the entire duration of theexperience of your trip, whatever the conditions encountered. It also offers the best chance of deployment in emergency situations where it is difficult for a crew member to reach the EPIRB.
