The Penn Battle III spinning reels have received a significant upgrade! Penn designed the Battle III after the popular Slammer III and Spinfisher VI reels. Not only do they share the same body style, but the Battle III now features Penn's CNC gear system. This makes the reel stronger, smoother and more durable. Sizes 1000-5000 feature a brass pinion and aluminum main gear while the 6000-10000 models have a brass pinion and brass main gear for added strength! The range now goes from 1,000 to 10,000 models and you get what you pay for! All-aluminum construction, Penn's premium HT-100 braking system and six sealed stainless steel ball bearings. 

Penn made all of these changes to the Battle and was able to reduce the overall weight of each model so thate you can fish longer and have more fun! The addition of the 10000 model is great because many anglers fish Battle for shark and big game, especially in Florida. The increased line capacity coupled with 40lbs of drag at an affordable price is killer! Penn Battle III reels are also available in high speed models in sizes 4000, 6000 and 8000. Guys who need extra inches per crank will look to them. The Battle has been a winner for years and the improvements Penn made to produce the Battle III will only make it more desirable.
