Steel Weld™ Epoxy - GRAY - 1oz
Versatile, easy-to-use multi-metal epoxy adhesive is a two-part adhesive and filler system that eliminates need for welding or brazing. Sets in four minutes, no tightening required. Dark gray appearance. Fills gaps and does not shrink. Once hardened, can be drilled, sanded, threaded or filed. Resistant to water and solvents. Temperature range -60°F to 300°F (-51°C to 149°C). Permanent resistance up to 4500 PSI.
Applications:
- Automotive - Suggested Applications: Ideal for complex, multi-part assemblies. Bonds rigid materials including aluminum, brass, chrome, copper, iron, stainless steel and steel. Use to seal welded joints, fill metal cracks and mount metal components.
Instructions:
1. PROTECT: The work area must be protectedagainst accidental spills. 2. CLEAN: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease and oil. 3. PREPARE: Roughen smooth surfaces (using abrasives or sandpaper).r). 4. OPEN PACKAGE: Remove the tubes and use a sharp tip to pierce the joints. 5. DISTRIBUTION: Squeeze the tubes to dispense the resin and hardener. Mix the resin and hardener thoroughly on a clean, disposable surface for 2-3 minutes until the color is uniform.6. APPLICATION: Apply a small amount of mixture to both surfaces and assemble the parts immediately (working time is approximately 4-6 minutes). Remove any excess epoxy immediately. 7. CURE TIME: Usable strength is achieved in four hours at 72°F (22°C). Colder temperatures may require a longer setting time. 8. CLEANING: Attach the nozzle caps and store the tray moulé. NOTE: Adhesive will not stick to most polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.
