High Temperature Red RTV Silicone Gasket - 7.25 oz

Specified by the original manufacturer. Formulated for high temperature applications or heavy duty use (such as towing, etc.). Replaces almost all cut gaskets by manufacturing reliable "formed-in-place" gaskets that resist cracking, shrinkage and migration caused by thermal cycling. Coats pre-cut joints to increase reliability. Temperature range -65°F to 650°F (-54°C to 343°C) intermittently; resists automotive and workshop fluids.

Automotive - Suggested Applications: Valve Covers, Oil Pans, Timing Covers, Thermostat Housings

Instructions:

Surfaces must be clean and dry. Apply a continuous, even 1/16" to 1/4" bead of silicone, surrounding all bolt holes. 1/8" fits mostshare of applications. Bead size may vary depending on finger pressure, how quickly the applicator is moved, and angle. For heavier beads, the nozzle can be cut to size. Activate PowerBead™ by turning the nozzle one full turn in the opposite direction, lifting the trigger. Pull the trigger to dispense. Assemble the parts immediately while the silicone is still wet. The silicone will fully cure in 24 hours. After use, store the applicator by turning the nozzle clockwise, wiping off excess silicone and replacing the plastic cap with a "click".

NOTE: Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.
