If possible, all kittens should receive colostrum from their mother for the first few days. Weighing the kittens at the start and every 3 days will help determine how much to feed. Bottle-fed kittens should receive 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight every 3 to 4 hours. Quantities and frequencyThe frequency of meals varies depending on individual needs. Smaller, weaker kittens may need a higher feeding frequency. As kittens grow, meal frequency may decrease and the amount per meal increase. Between 4 and 6 weeks of age, you can start offering PetLac Kitten in a shallow bowl for the kittens to break in. Don't stop bottle feeding until the kittens are eating well on their own. Weaned kittens: Feed 1 tablespoon (15 ml) per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight per day mixed with regular food. Pregnant and nursing mothers: Feed 2 tablespoons (30 ml) per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight per day mixed with regular food. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice.
