PSS Shaft Seal Parts Maintenance and Replacement Kit

As with any rubber hose below the waterline, the PSS bellows should be inspected regularly for signs of wear, aging or chemical deterioration. The PSS boot must be replaced every six years. When replacing the bellows, it is recommended to also replace the O-rings and stainless steel rotor adjustment screws.

The bellows may need to be inspected more frequently in an environment where unsealed batteries emit sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid vapors will accelerate rubber deterioration, as will an ozonator.

The Maintenance Kit includes the items you need to properly maintain your PSS shaft seal. Kit includes one (1) PSS boot, two (2) O-rings, five (5) set screws, four (4) new clampse tightening and an Allen key.
