Nursing goats and their litters must be fed free of charge. THELactating goats will consume 1 to 3 ounces per pound of body weight per day. Gradually increase the amount of food from the time of lighting so that by the time the little one, one week old, the doe consumes all the food she is going to eat. Meat rabbits will consume an average of 4 to 5 ounces per day during the period from weaning to market. Caution: Store in a dry, well-ventilated place, protected from rodents and insects. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested food to animals as this may cause illness, loss of performance or death. USE ONLY AS DIRECTED The dietary requirements of rabbits vary depending on their body weight, environmental temperatures, housing type, and production stage (maintenance, gestation, lactation, growth). Offer the rabbits the amount they will clean in about an hour (30 minutes if fed twice a day) andadjust the quantity to maintain their condition. Don't overfeed. Adult rabbits tend to overeat, become too heavy, and lose body condition. Adjust feeding rates to maintain desired weight. Young rabbits will begin to consume food when they leave the nest box, around three weeks old. Feeding programs are only as effective as management practices follow. Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times. When changing animals from one feeding program to another, do so over a period of 5 to 7 days.
